E.. L. Klein grew up in Grey County, Ontario. He studied creative writing under award-winning Peruvian novelist, Alonso Cueto, and multimedia journalism at the University of Toronto.

His writing has been published in InsideHook, Acta Victoriana, The Northern Appeal, and The Antigonish Review, among others. In 2022, he founded Klein’s Journal, a small-press lifestyle magazine covering style, culture, and affairs in Mexico and South America. The publication was featured on Monocle Radio’s The Stack.

He’s currently based in Toronto and Bogota with his dogs, Max and Hampton.
